When and where are meetings held?
2022-2023 PTO Meetings: Held on the second TUESDAY of every other month via ZOOM. Why virtual you ask? Because it allows all parents or families to tune in on the go, and not have to be concerned about childcare for the evening. So throw on your comfy PJ's and join us for a bit!
Our goal is to enhance the learning and school experience for our school and students. We will continue to work to find creative ways to enhance the LSE experience and are very grateful for your continued support!
How can I become part of the organization?
By joining the PTO, you are not committing to chair events, volunteer non-stop, or solicit donations! We won't bother you; honestly! (But if you do want to help out, we will love you for donating your precious time to us!) While you can join at any point during the school year, our Annual Membership Drive during Back to School is one of our biggest fundraisers during the school year which helps fund all of the fun. Stop in and see us during back to school night, or read over the membership info found in your back to school packed from your child's teacher. We offer a fun incentive for families who join!
Clearances? How do I go about getting them?
We receive the question "How do I sign up to volunteer at school?" quite a bit during the first few weeks of school. We at the PTO LOVE our volunteers! When we do have opportunities, we will have an email sent out with a Sign Up Genius from Dr. Kessler on our behalf and we will also post the link to sign up on our FB page. We strongly encourage all those who are interested in volunteering at school to submit clearances to DASD as soon as possible. Only those who are on the Approved Volunteer list with the district are permitted to volunteer within LSE, whether for Kid Writing with Kindergarten Classrooms or PTO Events.
